74th Annual Iowa County Engineers Conference

The Iowa County Engineers Association (ICEA) has made the decision to cancel the 74th Annual Iowa County Engineers Conference scheduled for December 2-4, 2020. Due to the proclamation put in place by the Governor, this event will no longer take place in-person. In it’s place, ICEA will host a virtual ethics training, business meeting, and executive board meeting on Friday, December 4, 2020. Please read through the details below for all cancelation information and instructions to register for the ethics training.

Refunds
County engineers will receive a refund for their registration fee with the exception of the NACE, IGRA, and ARTBA fees. Your refund amount will be $220. All other registered attendees will receive a full refund. Please know that processing refunds will take time and you can expect your refund by early December. *If you sent a personal check, your refund will be sent to your county, and they will be responsible for reimbursing you.
Hotels
The hotel block at the Hilton has been cleared. There is no need to call the hotel and cancel your room. If you reserved a room at a different hotel, you will need to cancel your room directly with that hotel.
Ethics Training
In place of the conference, ICEA will be hosting an ethics training webinar at 8:15 am on Friday, December 4. The cost to register is $75 for everyone. Please follow the link below to login and register.

Title: Ethics in Engineering

Description: Today or tomorrow, big or small, personally or professionally, everyone encounters a time when ethics enters into the equation of reaction and decision making.  In this one-hour course, attendees will review commonly encountered ethical dilemmas and their appropriate solutions.

Bio: Justin Weinberg is a Partner and member of the Executive Committee at Taft located in Minneapolis. He is an attorney licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa and is a frequent presenter on ethics related courses for the past decade.
