The Why Counties Matter Campaign was introduced by the National Association of Counties (NACo) in 2013 to highlight the important work that counties do for citizens across the country. The campaign was very successful, and the need was seen for something similar in Iowa. ISAC produced a document with Iowa-specific information and stats for the use of Iowa county officials when promoting what they do.
