The last day to pre-register will be at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.  After that date, all registrations must take place on-site in Des Moines, and you will be charged the at-the-door registration fee of $150.

Please note that your name badge is REQUIRED for ALL conference events.

Conference attire is business dress. Please remember that meeting room temperatures do not feel the same for everyone. You may want to bring a sweater or jacket should the meeting room temperature be too cool for you.

Conference Registration Instructions
Here are some key details to remember when registering and making hotel reservations for the 2012 ISAC Spring School of Instruction.  The new registration process (same process procedures as at previous schools) includes both your conference registration through the ISAC website and your hotel accommodations through the Iowa Housing Bureau.  Thanks in advance for your understanding of these registration guidelines, which we believe are beneficial to all our conference attendees as it gives everyone a fair opportunity to reserve their conference hotel room.

  • Before you are able to reserve a hotel room, you MUST register for the 2012 ISAC Spring School of Instruction on the ISAC website.  Registration will open at 8:30 am on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.  The ISAC online registration process is the same as previous conferences.  Please make sure that you double check your email address and/or fax number and hit confirm. You will then be registered for the conference and emailed/faxed a confirmation.

  • After registering for the 2012 ISAC Spring School on the ISAC website, you will receive an email confirmation from ISAC. This email will include: confirmation of conference registration; instructions and a link to reserve your hotel room through the Iowa Housing Bureau with their 5-digit unique convention ID housing bureau code; and a 10-digit ISAC ID which is mandatory for each individual hotel room.  In addition to your 5-digit unique convention ID and 10-digit ISAC ID, you will need a credit card to make your reservation.  This credit card is to hold your room and will not be charged unless there is a cancellation fee.

  • You may only reserve ONE hotel room per conference registration and the name on the reservation must match the name of the meeting registration made on the ISAC website. You are more than welcome to share a double room with another conference attendee. Please have only one of the two individuals who would like to share a room request a double room through the Iowa Housing Bureau.  If you are registering more than one individual in your county, you will need to register and make each hotel reservation individually, but may use the same credit card. This is a first come, first served registration process.

  • In addition to the conference room block at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown, there are room blocks at the Renaissance Savery, Holiday Inn Downtown and Embassy Suites on the River.  To receive the special ISAC conference rates and services, all conference hotel accommodations must be reserved through the Iowa Housing Bureau’s online system after registering for the conference and before Friday, February 17, 4:30 pm. Click here for hotel accommodations and more information.

    • Des Moines Marriott Downtown ($105/night plus taxes)

    • Renaissance Savery Hotel ($96/night plus taxes)

    • Holiday Inn Downtown ($94.95/night plus taxes)

    • Embassy Suites on the River ($169/night plus taxes for single or double.) **Rate includes complimentary breakfast buffet each morning and complimentary manager's reception every night from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

  • Please DO NOT call any of the ISAC conference hotels to reserve your hotel accommodations.  Hotel room reservations made at ISAC conference hotels will NOT be valid if you call to reserve a room or reserve a room on the hotel website.  You MUST go through the Iowa Housing Bureau after registering for the conference to reserve a hotel room.

  • After registering for a hotel room through the Iowa Housing Bureau’s online system, you will receive an acknowledgement email by the next business day from the Iowa Housing Bureau. This acknowledgement email will contain your hotel location, room type/rate, arrival and departure dates, and credit card information. This hotel reservation acknowledgement from the Iowa Housing Bureau confirms your sleeping room for the conference. Closer to the conference date the hotel (that you selected during registration and that is listed on your acknowledgement email) will send you a hotel confirmation number. Thus, you are receiving two hotel confirmations; one from the housing bureau at the time of registration and one from the hotel prior to the conference.

***If you DO NOT receive an acknowledgement email from the Iowa Housing Bureau within a business day of making your hotel reservation online, please contact them promptly at the 800.451.2625.  Please also be sure to check your spam folder for their acknowledgement email.

  • The ISAC conference room blocks will only be available until 4:30 pm on Friday, February 17.  After this date, the ISAC conference room blocks will be closed and the special conference rates will be unavailable.  If you have to make a change or cancellation to your hotel accommodations prior to Friday, February 17, please contact the Iowa Housing Bureau directly at 800.451.2625.

  • The ISAC conference hotels will receive the reservation lists from the Iowa Housing Bureau beginning on Monday, February 20. The hotel of your choice will send a confirmation number to confirm receipt of your reservation. On Tuesday, February 21, you may contact the hotel directly for any changes to your reservation. You must call the hotel directly if you decide to cancel or change your room reservation prior to or during the conference.

  • Please remember that there is an ISAC Hotel Cancellation Policy and it will be in effect for the 2012 ISAC Spring School of Instruction. No cancellations will be accepted and no refunds will be given after Tuesday, February 21. If you choose to cancel your hotel reservation, you will be charged a cancellation fee, which is one night’s lodging plus taxes to the credit card on file.  Name changes on guest room reservations will be accepted.

  • ISAC will assist in securing the hotel reservations for the following people: ISAC board of directors, ISAC past presidents, affiliate presidents, CCMS board of directors, CRIS board of directors and individuals with disabilities.  For those individuals with disabilities, ISAC will require you to provide a medical note stating that you have a disability which requires you to stay at the conference hotel. According to the ISAC Board of Directors policy, all other county officials are responsible for making their own room reservations.

If you have any questions regarding the registration and reservation process, please don’t hesitate to contact ISAC at 515.244.7181.
