Speaker: Maria Cochran - Faculty, Des Moines Area Community College
The following topics will be
covered:
 adjusting
messages to the readers;
composing
professional letters, memos and emails;
expressing
goodwill through language;
revising
for clarity and conciseness;
designing
information; and
communicating
professionally on the phone.
Maria Cochran holds a Ph.D.in Rhetoric and
Professional Communication from Iowa State University (2007) and an
MA in English from Drake (1994). She is currently faculty at Des
Moines Area Community College teaching Technical Writing,
Composition, and Literature.
