ISAC Steps to Wellness a Success!

The ISAC Steps to Wellness program was a huge success! Participants walked the equivalent of the distance between Augusta, Maine to Los Angeles, California nearly three times. Please see the amazing statics to the right from the attendees who returned their log forms at the conference.  

Although we did have some problems with the pedometers, the feedback that we received and the participation was outstanding for the first year of a program of this magnitude. If you have ideas on how to improve or expand on this program, please contact shorner@iowacounties.org. Let’s see how far we can walk next year!

• Total number of steps walked: 1,874,184

• Total number of miles walked: 9,371

• Average number of steps per participant: 14,307

• Average number of miles walked per participant: 7.2 miles

The top three walkers who will receive a free 2013 Spring School of Instruction registration are:
