County Leadership Institute

NACo is pleased to present its Ninth Annual County Leadership Institute (CLI) in Washington, DC, June 3-7, 2012.  We invite you to submit a nominee to participate in the Institute.  Because of the design of the curriculum, and to ensure open dialogue, the Institute accepts only one participant from each state.  If you have nominated candidates before, you’re familiar with the program goals.  We hope you have seen the positive benefits that result from participation in the Institute.  One of your colleagues, Paul McIntosh of California, said this about the Institute:

The CLI is a tremendous opportunity to immerse national leaders in adaptive leadership techniques through a peer group setting.  Not only are valuable skills learned, that are immediately transferable back home, but lasting relationships are formed with county leaders throughout the nation.  The NACo CLI and its continuous professional development is one of the most valuable member benefits NACo provides.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Bill Peterson at bpeterson@iowacounties.org.  Proposals will be due to ISAC by February 14, 2012. Click here for a FAQ document regarding the CLI nomination process.
