IWiLL Campaign Volunteers

Iowa’s Water and Land Legacy is the name of the campaign to raise awareness about the a historic opportunity in November 2010 to vote in support of an Iowa constitutional amendment establishing a trust fund to preserve Iowa’s natural resources and outdoor recreational opportunities.  Trust fund revenue will aid in conservation of agricultural soils and improve water quality and natural areas in Iowa, including parks, trails, and fish and wildlife habitat. Hundreds of Iowa organizations and individuals are working together, under the banner of Iowa’s Water and Land Legacy. Here are two fun ways you can help over the next few weeks.  We need volunteers to staff booths at and pass out materials at these events:

Des  Moines Arts Festival-June 25-27 (Des Moines) – we will be handing out materials and provide a children’s activity (a water mural) – attendance is expected to be around 200,000 visitors. http://www.desmoinesartsfestival.org/ 

80/35 Music Festival-July 3-4 (Des Moines) – we will be handing out materials at the booth and in the crowd. http://80-35.com/
