NACo County Leadership Institute

The National Association of Counties annually conducts the County Leadership Institute.  The dates for this year’s program are June 1-5, 2010.  To be eligible to participate you have to be nominated by ISAC and be a county supervisor from a NACo member county.  NACo is looking for county supervisors that preferably have 2 to 6 years of experience.

ISAC will pay the registration fee for a county official from Iowa that is accepted.  You will be responsible for travel and incidental expenses if selected.  County supervisors Linda Langston (Linn), Melvyn Houser (Pottawattamie), Terrance Neuzil (Johnson), and Carl Mattes (Humboldt) have attended previous sessions.  They would be happy to share their experiences with you if you have questions about the program.  If you are interested in participating, please contact ISAC Executive Director Bill Peterson at bpeterson@iowacounties.org or call 515.244.7181 no later than February 9, 2010.
