Ongoing MH/DD Underfunding

Counties received $22 million less this year than expected (10% cut plus no growth).  That figure will balloon to at least $44 million when the 10% cut is maintained and growth is once again not addressed.  The Governor’s budget, however, includes approximately a $181 million increase for Medicaid, once again protecting state programs while ignoring county funding needs.
