Weapons Permits

HF 2255, the weapons permit bill supported by the Right to Carry, was introduced on Wednesday.  The Iowa State Sheriffs’ and Deputies’ Association has taken the lead in opposing this bill.  It takes any discretion in issuing permits to carry concealed weapons out of the hands of the sheriffs. ISAC is opposed to this bill.
