DHS Reorganization

The DHS Council met recently and approved the reorganization of the department effective January 1, 2010. Click here to view the new structure.

New assignments for some key staff are as follows:
· Deputy For Program Services: Sally Titus
· Deputy for Administration: Jan Clausen
· Medicaid Director: Jennifer Vermeer
· Mental Health & Disability Services Director: Jeanne Nesbit
· Adult, Children & Family Services Director: Wendy Rickman
· Field Operations Director: Vern Armstrong
· Data Management Director: Tom Huisman

The division director for fiscal services will be filled by Jan Clausen until a new appointment is made. The Service Areas will be reorganized as part of the department restructuring. The new SAMs will be Tom Bouska (Council Bluffs or Sioux City) ; Evan Klenk (Waterloo);  Gary Lippe (Davenport or Dubuque); Marc Baty (Cedar Rapids); and Pat Penning (Des Moines).  Denise Gonzales will move to the new Centralized Service Area. Other announcements will be made at a later time.
