Hawk County, Iowa (pop. 131,090) is seeking to fill the position of
Financial System Manager in the
County
Auditor’s
Office.
The Financial System Manager
administers the county’s financial system, prepares monthly and
periodic financial reports for departments, assists in preparing
financial statements, works with financial accruals, and
prepares reports for and works with outside audit firms, among
other duties.
The Financial System Manager
directly supervises accounts payable and accounts receivable
employees, interviews, hires and trains employees; plans,
assigns, coordinates and directs work; appraises performance,
rewards and disciplines employees, addresses complaints and
resolves problems.
Minimum qualifications include a
bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from a
four-year college or university; or one to two years related
experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Starting salary range is $44,978 -
$53,874 depending on qualifications and experience. For further
