  Papers on County Legal Issues

Recently, David Vestal, ISAC General Counsel, attended the annual conference of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA).  The conference registration fee was several hundred dollars, but with IMLA’s permission you can download the conference papers for free.

There were papers presented at the conference on a wide variety of topics that might be of interest to county officials, including: how to perform employee evaluations; smart growth strategies; and parliamentary procedure.

These papers are not specific to Iowa, but they may provide an introduction to new issues, or give you a fresh perspective on issues that you are tackling in your county.
