Who are ISAC members?
ISAC members are elected and appointed county officials from all 99
counties. ISAC members make or are heavily involved in most of the
purchase decisions and contracts counties enter into with private
sector businesses. Because ISAC is a focal point for county
government officials, there are tremendous opportunities for private
sector businesses to promote their services to key decision makers
in Iowas county governments.
What is the ISAC Associate Member Program?
The ISAC Associate Member Program was brought to life in July 1988.
It was developed to fit a need expressed by vendors who wanted to be
a part of ISAC and show their support without becoming actual
members of our organization. A commercial enterprise, professional
association, or private group may become an Associate Member of ISAC
upon payment of dues. In exchange for those dues, Associate Members
receive certain benefits. Associate membership shall not include
voting rights or participating in the business or legislative
affairs of ISAC.
What Networking Opportunities Are There For Me If I Join?
ISAC holds two, two and a half day conferences a year, one in
November in Coralville and one in March in Downtown Des Moines. Many of our Associate Members participate in our
conferences by exhibiting, advertising in the conference program, or
being a conference sponsor. These networking opportunities are
benefit enough, but additionally, associate members are given
discounts and early registration opportunities at the conferences. Approximately 900 county officials are
in attendance at each of the two conferences.
